02 / Plan your order

Before you arrive

Choose your processing options

Request cut-up portions, deboning or selected parts when you place the order. Sausage, curing and smoking are value-added options. Grinding, links and slicing have separate charges. Some work is charged per carcass, some per pound and some per item.

One vacuum bag and a basic label are included. Extra bags and custom packaging cost more. Tell us what you want saved and how you want it packaged before processing.

Plan your batch

Grinding, sausage and links have a 50-pound processing minimum to discuss before scheduling. Sausage recipes also have flavor-batch requirements. Tell us the product you want and the meat available so we can work through both requirements with you. Live rabbit weight is not the amount of usable meat for a batch.

Arrange your appointment and inspection needs

We process rabbits on Tuesdays, with drop-off at 6:45 a.m. The deposit is $2 per rabbit. Cancel at least 28 days ahead for a refund or credit; late cancellations and missed appointments forfeit the deposit.

Tell us whether the finished meat is for personal use or sale. Voluntary USDA inspection is arranged separately. USDA charges by the hour for it, so it isn’t part of the standard rabbit fee — ask us for the cost when you book.

Allow up to one calendar week from slaughter. Freezing is available on request and adds time. Arrange pickup with us; storage charges start after three calendar days from the invoice.
